23 Oloroso Sherry Butts

Distilled in 2014

50PPM Heavily Peated

Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2024 Edition Single Malt Whisky from Islay

Named after a famously dark, peaty loch overlooked by the distillery, the Loch Gorm  Loch Gorm 2024 is a vatting of 23 barrels of whisky matured in oloroso sherry casks previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin.  Distilled in 2014.

Nose: Waves of sweet BBQ smoke and cooked fruits with dark chocolate and dried figs.

Palate: Delecate peat smoke combioned with honey roasted nuts, cinnamon and malted barley.

Finish: Fresh notes of citrus and rich toffee.

“Loch Gorm has often been our most sought after limited edition and I don’t see that changing in 2024. Distilled in 2014, these sherry butts have given this year’s release an abundance of rich spices and toffee notes. A great example of peat and sherry working in harmony together,” Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder.
