Terms & Conditions

thelittewhiskyshop.co.uk is operated by The Little Whisky Shop Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company registered number 11220940  and with our registered offices are Crescent House, Portway West, Andover, SP106SF and main trading store at The Little Whisky Shop, Lillies, High Street, Stockbridge, Hampshire, SO20 6HF.

We amend these T&C’s from time to time. Every time you wish to order Product(s), please check these T&C’s to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time. These T&C’s came into effect when created in April 2018 and replace any previous T&C’s.

These T&C’s, and any Contract between us are only in the English language.

The website is governed by the following terms and conditions; they do not affect your statutory rights.  All transactions take place in the UK and Relevant United Kingdom law will apply to the Agreement and the relevant courts of the United Kingdom will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to the Agreement.

We will try and solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings, you must do this within the United Kingdom.

Orders
The Little Whisky Shop will not sell to anyone who isn’t at least 18 years old and this will be clarified on the order entry page to the website and in the customer account details section. By placing an order, you confirm that you and the recipient are at least 18 years old.

Age Restrictions

In the UK it is illegal for any person under the age of 18 to buy (or to attempt to buy) alcohol for themselves or for any other person under the age of 18, and an adult to buy (or to attempt to buy) alcohol for any person under the age of 18.

You may only purchase an alcoholic Product from us if you are:

• at least 18 years old;
• not buying that Product for any person or persons under the age of 18; and
• of legal age to purchase alcohol both in the country where you place the order and the destination country.

You must check with the local authorities in the country where you place the order and the destination country to ensure that you will not be breaking any law or regulation by ordering alcohol from us. By placing an order to purchase a Product, you warrant and guarantee to us that it is lawful for you to order the relevant Product in the country where you place the order and for the recipient to receive the relevant Product in the destination country. If you breach this promise we may end the Contract and charge you reasonable compensation for the net costs which we incur. We may deduct the compensation payment from the bank account which you used to pay for the Product. We may make that deduction from that bank account in more than one payment.

Payment will be taken at the point of order and your order will be dispatched from our premises as soon as possible thereafter. When we do take the payment and dispatch your order, the completion of the contract between us will take place.

Until dispatch has been made, we will not be bound to supply your order and we reserve the right to cancel it for any reason.

Products
The images of the products on our site are for illustrative purposes only. Although every effort has been made to display the colours accurately, we can’t guarantee that the display of your computer of the colours, accurately reflect the colour of the actual product. The product received may vary slightly from the images displayed. The packaging may also vary from that shown on the images on our site.

Deliveries
Our deliveries are made by either a courier or by Royal Mail. When your order has been dispatched, you will receive an automated email to confirm that your order is on its way to you.

Deliveries are intended for the United Kingdom only. This includes Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Islands, the Isle of Man and the Scilly Isles).

Stocked items will be delivered within 3-5 working days. If a specified delivery day is required, then this will be agreed at the time of ordering. We will attempt to deliver your order on the day specified when you place your order. However, we will not be liable to you for any delay in the delivery of your order.

Cancellation and Returns
If you would like to cancel or return your order please, contact us as soon as possible emailing enquiries@thelws.co.uk or contact our Customer Services team on +44 (0) 1264 811566.

You may cancel your order for any reason whatsoever up to 14 days after you receive it. If you cancel your order before it is dispatched, we will not take payment and your order will be stopped.

If your order has already been dispatched, you may refuse to accept delivery from the driver and your order will be returned to us. If your order has been delivered, it is your responsibility to adequately and safely return it to:

The item returned must be in a re-saleable condition, with no damage to the packaging of the product or to the actual product itself, with no seals or safety measures compromised.

If there is any damage to your order when it arrives, please refuse to accept it, or make a record of the damage, record this with the delivery company/driver where possible and notify us as soon as possible within 24 hours. If the damage is due to defective packaging, we will refund you the cost of the damaged items or arrange to send you a replacement.  Where it is through no fault of our own and due to circumstances outside our control (ie incompetent delivery) we will seek to get damages from the courier company on your behalf, but this is not guaranteed unless specific insurance for good in transit has been purchased with the order.  Where applicable, refunds will be processed within 3-5 days of receipt.  If possible please provide photographic evidence of the damage to assist our processes.

Gifts
All orders are available to send to another person as a gift. When you place an order as a gift, you are confirming that the recipient is at least 18 years old.

Personal Information
By providing your details to us on our site, you are consenting to us maintaining, recording, holding and using the information you give us at the time of ordering. This includes for us to process your order received, ways to improve service and enable us to inform you of any promotions or offers.

We will not pass your details on to any third party without your permission, other than where we have to do so, to get your products to you.

We use safety encryption and SSL technology on our site, to ensure the shopping experience is secure. It is, however, your responsibility to protect your username and password from being disclosed to any third party.
