Billy Walker is a renowned figure in the Scotch whisky industry, boasting over 50 years of experience. He began his career in 1972 at Hiram Walker & Sons, where he was involved in nearly all aspects of whisky production. Over the years, he worked with several prominent distilleries, including Inver House and Burn Stewart Distillers.

In 2004, Walker co-founded The BenRiach Distillery Company, which later expanded to include GlenDronach and Glenglassaugh distilleries2. His innovative approach and deep understanding of whisky production led to the rejuvenation and success of these brands.

In 2017, Walker acquired The GlenAllachie Distillery. Under his leadership, GlenAllachie transitioned from being a component for blends to a celebrated single malt brand1. His work has earned numerous accolades, including the title of World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 20211.

Walker’s philosophy combines a scientific understanding of whisky production with an artistic touch, allowing him to create exceptional whiskies1. His contributions to the industry have cemented his legacy as a master distiller and blender.
