Matured in ex-Islay hogshead. A rich nose of spiced apple, plums baked in brown sugar, bitter chocolate fondant and a suggestion of smoke. The palate has smouldering heather, pipe tobacco, ripe cherries and a hint of salty breeze. A complex finish follows with more dark chocolate and dried fruit.
