Description
Kilchoman Distillery sits amoungst the traditional buildings of Rockside Farm on the north-west coast of Islay. Sheltered beneath the Cnoc Dubh headland, the barley fields stretch west to the shores of Machir Bay.
The Rockside release is Islay's only single farm single malt - 100% Islay, from barley to bottle.
Rockside 11 Year Old was distilled from barley grown on the farm over a decade ago. Once harvested the barley was malted, peated and distilled before being matured and eventally bottled on site.
Lightly peated and matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, Rockside 11 offers a delicate balance of light smoke, tropical fruit, citrus sweetness and mixed spices.
