Filey Bay Sherry Cask Reserve #3 70cl 46%

For the third of the annual autumn Sherry Cask Reserve series, Whisky Director Joe married together five Fino casks from the warehouse. Made from palomino grapes, Fino sherry is naturally light, dry and delicate. During maturation, the heavier and oilier nature of the more traditional pot distillate really took on the spicy, ginger notes of these casks, whilst the fruitier, lighter nature of the unique column distillate let the sweet, honey flavours sing. Only 2000 bottles are available. Tasting notes: Fruity and spicy with flavours of ginger cake, boiled sweets, honeycomb and cinder toffee.
