SHERRY DOUBLE CASK FINISH WHISKY

The Glen Scotia Sherry Double Cask Finish has been matured in a combination of oloroso and Pedro Ximenex sherry casks. The combination of the sherry and bourbon casks create a delicious, warming  character with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg and subtly spice.
Originally matured in first fill bourbon barrels, a second maturation in a combination
of Pedro Ximinez and Oloroso Sherry first fill Hogsheads accentuate the fruit characters, whilst giving the unpeated spirit a rich velvety mouthfeel. Our Glen Scotia Sherry Double Cask Finish marries the best of both these wonderful liquids,  which brings an interesting depth and character to the whisky. Bottled at 54.1% with non added colour or chill-filtration, as nature intended.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE Spiced rum, juicy plum, toffee and citrus peel.

TASTE

An incredibly smooth and rich velvety mouthfeel, sweet vanilla and salted butter. Raisins and sultanas with warming spice of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg.

FINISH

Long, nutty, dry finish with gentle warming spice.
