To create Batch No7 of the Balvenie Tun 1509, David C. Stewart MBE carefully hand-selected 21 of the finest casks – 4 ex-American barrels, 10 Sherry butts and 7 hogsheads – from the distilleries precious aged whiskies.
These 21 casks have spent 3 months in a traditional marrying Tun, knitting together
Tasting Notes: Rich and deep on the nose with lots of exotic yet elegant oak notes. Complex, rich and slightly peppery on the palate with candied orange peel, lashings of vanilla, layers of honeycomb, toasted hazelnuts with some spicy ginger and nutmeg to finish.
