Terms and Conditions


  1. THE PROVIDER:The provider is The Little Whisky Shop Limited (company number 11220940) (we, us and our) and having our registered office at The Little Whisky Shop C/O VuePoint Solutions, Crescent House, Portway West, Andover, SP103SP, United Kingdom. 


    • These terms apply to all competitions hosted by us on or sold in person in our shop in Stockbridge Hampshire.
    • For the relevance of these terms this process is refer to as Prize Draw.
    • For these draws, entrants buy a ticket, answer a spirit related question and are entered into a Prize Draw for the Prize Draw of their choosing if, and only if, they answer the question correctly. Failure to answer the question correctly will result in the ticket being rejected from the Prize Draw.
    • By entering any Prize Draw, you confirm that you agree that these terms and our Privacy Policy(and the way we process personal data) apply to you. 
    • Our standard Terms of Businessalso apply to Prize Draws.


  1. ELIGIBILITY:As with anything associated with Alcohol, Prize Draws are only open to individuals who are 18 years or older.  In addition:
    • In order to be eligible to win a prize, your shipping address must be in the UK.
    • Prize Draws are not open to any employees (and their immediate family) of the company or associated companies.

We reserve the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) at any time and we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who, or any entry which, we believe has breached any of these terms, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or improper conduct which may undermine the fair and proper conduct of any Prize Draw.


    • Each Prize Draw will have a starting date, ending date and time, and a total number of tickets available for purchase. The ending date and time of the Prize Draw and the number of tickets still available will be displayed on the relevant page or on any advertisement in the shop, when the Prize Draw is running. 
    • If all the tickets have been bought before the closing date and time, we may, at our discretion, end the Prize Draw early.
  2. ENTERY:
    • As required by UK law, we offer two entry routes – either purchase a ticket or send a postcard (the free entry option) to our registered address.
      • To enter by buying a ticket, eligible individuals must, during the period the draw is open for purchase, complete the entry form of the relevant Prize Draw product page on and: (a) complete the purchase of one or more Prize Draw ticket(s) and (b) answer correctly a related knowledge-based question. When all actions are completed, the entrant will have averified entry (or multiple verified entries if multiple tickets are purchased) into the Prize Draw.
      • All Prize Draw ticket prices will be based on the value of each Prize Draw and may vary for on to the next.  Each ticket price will be clearly displayed on the relevant Prize Draw product page.
      • All Prize Draw tickets, regardless of whether an entrant answered the skill or knowledge-based question correctly or not, are non-refundable except in the circumstances where a Prize Draw is withdrawn or cancelled, as referred to in clause 9 below.
      • Whilst multiple entries are permitted, we reserve the right to reject, void and/or take appropriate actions to stop any automatically or programmatically generated entries which disrupt the operation of a Prize Draw and/or the website.
      • To enter via the free entry route by sending us a postcard, eligible individuals must:
        1. Be resident in the UK.
        2. Send a postcard to: Jenni and Mark at our company registered address,
        3. Clearly and legibly state on the postcard the following information:
          1. the specific Prize Draw you wish to be entered into
          2. the correct answer to the prize related question relevant to that Prize Draw,
          3. your name, your email address, your telephone number, and
          4. ensure that the postcard arrives at the registered address before the relevant Prize Draw ends.
  • When all requirements are fully and correctly met, the entrant will have averified free entry into the Prize Draw. 
  • This entry route does not require any ticket to be bought, but entrants shall be responsible for the cost of postage for the postcard. Any postcard not correctly paid for shall be discarded. Postcards will not be returned, nor entry acknowledged. 
  • Entrants may only enter one single competition per postcard.  Only one entry per person per competition is permitted via the free entry route. 


  • In respect of both entry routes, the answer to the skill or knowledge-based question will be published at or promptly after such time when the Prize Draw takes place.
  • Entrants who answer the skill or knowledge-based questions incorrectly will not have a qualifying entry and will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
  • Entrants who answer the question incorrectly will not be notified individually that they have answered incorrectly.
  • We shall determine the correct answer to the skill or knowledge-based question and that determination shall be final. No correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. Our decision, as to what is the correct answer is final.
  • No Prize Draw tickets are transferable.




    • For each competition, one winner will be selected at random out of all qualifying entries shortly after the closing date and time. Unless otherwise stated on the Prize Draw product page, a live draw will be streamed online via our social media channel(s) of choice and the winner will be announced during the live draw. The selection of the winner made will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
    • We may contact the winner for feedback in respect of the Prize Draw and/or prize and may use any feedback provided when announcing the results and promoting our competitions. In all cases, we shall have the right to publish the winner’s first name, the first letter of the winner’s surname and the county in which the winner’s delivery address is located when announcing the results of the Prize Draw.
    • The prize of each Prize Draw will be a bottle (or a bundle of multiple bottles or gift or other presentation pack) of alcoholic beverage. Details of each prize will be clearly stated on the relevant Prize Draw product page. 
    • The prize is provided by us and it is strictly non-negotiable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternative or for other items. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event the prize is not available for reasons outside of our control.
    • The prize is inclusive of the costs of packaging and carriage to a valid address within the United Kingdom (Scottish Highlands and Islands).
    • If the prize is being delivered to a shipping address outside of the United Kingdom (including Scottish Highlands and Islands), the following will apply:
      • we shall charge the winner the full amount of the packaging and carriage costs; and 
      • the prize may be subject to import duties, excise taxes and other tariffs. There may also be administration charges imposed by foreign customs authorities or by our delivery agents in respect of the delivery of the prize. Please note that we have no control over these charges and we cannot predict their amount. The winner will be solely responsible for all such import duties, taxes, tariffs and administration charges.
    • We reserve the right to cancel a Prize Draw where we consider that the Prize Draw needs to be cancelled in the interests of fairness or safety, because the prize is no longer available or for any other reason which we consider warrants that cancellation, acting reasonably.
    • Where we cancel a Prize Draw under this clause, the Prize Draw will not be conducted and all Prize Draw tickets (including those where the skill or knowledge-based question was answered incorrectly) will be refunded. Refunds will be paid by us promptly after the Prize Draw has been cancelled. All entrants to a Prize Draw that is cancelled will be informed about the fact of the cancellation and, where appropriate, the reasons for it.
    • We will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner shortly after the Prize Draw concludes and the winner is selected, using the contact details provided by the winner.
    • In the event that a winner has not been contacted within a week after the Prize Draw concludes, we recommend that they get in contact with usin order to claim the prize.
    • If we have not been able to contact the winner, and the winner has not made contact with us, within 30 calendar days after the Prize Draw concludes, we reserve the right to select another qualifying entry at random and offer the relevant entrant the prize.
    • We cannot accept any responsibility if any winner fails to claim the prize within the time limit as set out above.
    • We will not be responsible for any entries that are delayed or lost for any reason (for example, due to technical error, payment error or connection failure).
    • We will not be responsible for any free postcard entries which are lost or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, and we will not accept proof of posting as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.  Any determination of the time a free postcard entry arrives shall be made by us, and that determination shall be final. No correspondence shall be entered into.
    • We will not be responsible for delivery of the prize to an incorrect address.
    • Insofar as is permitted by law, we, our agents, employees, and/or representatives shall not be responsible or liable to compensate any entrant who participates in the Prize Draw and/or the winner who claims the prize for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever and howsoever caused, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any direct, indirect or consequential losses arising out of or in connection with their participation in any competition, except where it is caused by the negligence of us, our agents, employees, and/or authorised representatives. Entrants’ statutory rights are not affected.
  4. GENERAL:These terms are governed by English law. This means that an entry into a Prize Draw on these terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with that entry will be governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
