Anchorsmith represents the penultimate release within the acclaimed Clydebuilt Collection, a special limited-edition blend that harmonizes six distinct whiskies sourced from Lowland, Speyside, and Highland distilleries. Each of these whiskies underwent full maturation in first-fill oloroso sherry casks, carefully selected by Ardgowan’s master whisky maker, Max McFarlane.
Nose: Well-balanced and distinctive - black cherries, lemon drizzle cake, chocolate raisins, sesame oil, and sticky figs and dates.
Palate: Full bodied, floral and plummy with ripe dark fruits, roasted chestnuts, pomegranate juice and overripe bananas.
Finish: Long and lightly tannic with earl grey tea and orange marmalade.
