Wire Works English Oak release is a dual maturation of our lightly-peated spirit, initially aged in ex-bourbon barrels, and then uniquelyfinished in an English virgin oak cask, with the very rare woodsustainably sourced from an estate in the neighbouring county ofStaffordshire.A rich, juicy and spicy single malt whisky with gentle backgroundsmoke.
TASTING NOTES
Overview: Juicy, spicy and oily, with orange, liquorice, dried fruits andnuts.Nose: Dark chocolate, liquorice, fresh oranges, candied ginger,varnished wood, roast chestnuts, baked apple. peanut brittle.
Palate: Treacle tart, cinnamon rolls, eucalyptus, marzipan, burnt sugar,strawberry laces, red wine jus, cola bottles.Finish: Cacao nibs, star anise, wood smoke, chilli and pepper.
